Invest directly in startups

Numena is open exclusively to accredited investors as defined by the SEC. You qualify if you meet any of the following: individual income exceeding $200,000 (or $300,000 jointly) in each of the last two years, net worth exceeding $1 million excluding your primary residence, a professional certification such as a Series 7, 65, or 82 license, or verification by a third party such as a attorney or CPA. Income and net worth verification is automated and takes minutes. Professional certification and third-party attestation require manual review, which typically takes 1-2 business days.

Startups on Numena issue preferred stock or SAFEs. The specific terms, structure, and pricing are set by each issuer and detailed in the offering documents available on their listing page.

You can deposit funds via ACH or wire into your Numena account. When you invest, funds move from your account into escrow. If the round succeeds, funds are released to the issuer. If the round fails to meet its minimum funding goal before the specified end date, funds are returned to you.

Investments in Reg D offerings are subject to a one-year holding period under Rule 144. After that period, you can list your shares for sale on Numena's secondary market.

Numena's secondary market features a transparent orderbook where buyers and sellers are matched on price with near-instant settlement. All participants are verified, accredited investors or institutions.
